Visual Rhetoric: A collaboration between LCC & LSE
Postgraduate graphic designers from LCC have partnered up with social science students from the London School of Economics (LSE) to produce data presentations that are as visually striking as they are credible.
The collaboration aimed to maximise the effect of research in the social sciences so that results are exposed to the maximum number of potential end-users and presented in such a way that the data can be understood as quickly as possible.
Information Graphics, which pairs the striking visual language of modern graphic design and advertising with the credible data produced by the social sciences, aims to do just this.
The film above documents the LCC – LSE collaboration and features interviews with LCC Course Directors, Tony Pritchard (PGCert/Dip Design for Visual Communication) and Penny Hilton (MA Graphic Moving Image), as well as visuals from LCC graduates, Ian Carr, Claudio Graciolli, Graeme Rutherford, Pradnya Dighe and Piero Zagami.
